  Most of us struggle to accept certain things about ourselves, other people, or life.  It can be hard to let go of past events with uncomfortable associations

To make peace with our past means to understand and gently let go of any unhelpful emotions we feel when we recall the past. 

  Acceptance softens the impact of the past. With the power that comes from acceptance, we can see things from another viewpoint.  We gain the strength to think differently in the present and allow the past to heal.
