Global Co-operation House, 65-69 Pound Lane, Willesden Green, United Kingdom

Although the story of humanity is fundamentally an endless tale of seeking happiness, sometimes we don’t even recognise it when we have found it. We mistake happiness for pleasure or excitement, and undervalue the quieter, gentler experiences of contentment, joy and gratitude. Is it possible to cease the search and find sustainable, real happiness in this moment, in our lives now?

Neville Hodgkinson works as a writer, specialising in health, medicine and science. An interest in mind-body medicine led him to take up the practice of meditation and spiritual study in the early 1980s, and in 1994 he left full-time journalism to help establish the Global Retreat Centre, near Oxford, where he still lives.
